When we decided to make our first cookie dough ice cream, we had a clear vision in mind: Create an ice cream that tastes exactly like a rich and buttery cookie dough. We started with a custard for richness and creaminess. Replaced white sugar with brown sugar in our ice cream recipe for added depth and notes of caramel and molasses. Then layered in Fair Trade Madagascar vanilla, butter, and an extra sprinkle of sea salt (because the best chocolate chip cookies have that slightly savory finish). And finished with chocolate chip cookie dough pieces for a pleasant sandy texture in every bite. Double Dough is the cookie dough ice cream to end all cookie dough ice creams.
